Last night PAWS was called to a very dramatic rescue in Jabryah. A couple from the Philippines , dog lovers and owners of 4 dogs, were threatened by a policeman to shoot their dog Brownie on the street. The dog would bark and the policeman scared the owner and their dog Brownie to death. He even threatened the woman to send her to jail if she would keep this one big dog. When the first PAWS volunteer arrived a very dramatic discussion started and the policeman, not in charge at that time, said he would come back with somebody to shoot the dog in front of them all. We arrived in time and brought the completely scared and terrified dog to the shelter. A solution for the poor couple, who were both crying bitterly, is not found yet. The dog will stay as long as possible without charge in the shelter of PAWS.

This is absolutely inhumane and disgusting! What law did the owners break by keepign a dog?
I suggest to PAWS to clearly list in English, the rules and regulations concerning pets.

a very loving playful white big dog is roaming the streets of salmiya n im afraid might meet trouble if not helped..it seems like a house dog. everyone its going to, is doing it away…pls help.
